CPU - Logical Core

Cpu Moore Law Transistor

About

A special subdivision of a physical core in systems supporting Symmetric Multi-Threading (SMT).

A logical core shares some of its execution path with one or more other logical cores.

For example, a processor that supports Intel’s Hyper-Threading technology will have two logical cores per physical core. A “quad-core, Hyper-Threaded” processor will have 8 logical cores and 4 physical cores.
