In Statistics, a Nominal Measurement is the type of measurement in which the values of the variable are names (discrete, categorical variables), and not numerical at all.
Nominal data is measured by classification or categories.
For instance, information collected about the students gender, the town or sub-division in which they live, race, or political opinions.
There is no meaning to the values between the nominal measure. (i.e. 1/2 degree can be interpreted)
