- REST. A HTTP request with the API request expressed in the URL properties, HTTP header and or HTTP body
- Web Service - Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP). A HTTP request with the API request expressed in XML as body
- Web Socket. This is more used in case of real time communication (not to get data)
