The TimesTen default installation directories for release 11.2.2 are as follows:
- On Windows, C:\TimesTen
- On UNIX, HOME/TimesTen
TIMESTEN_DIR is the base directory where the TimesTen distribution is installed.
Instance Home
The instance home directory also know as install Dir is where an instance of the software installation is located. You can find it with the ttversion utility
For instance:
- On Windows, C:\TimesTen\tt1122
- On UNIX, /u01/app/oracle/product/TimesTen/tt1122
TT_INSTHOME environement variable: Instance Home Directory.
You can get it with the ttversion utility
Temp
TimesTen creates temporary files when a transaction frees a large amount of space in a database. In addition, other TimesTen operations, such as large deletes, use the temporary directory when copying files.
The temporary directory is operating system-dependent. Usually it is located in these directories:
- On Windows, C:\Documents and Settings\%USERNAME%\Local Settings\Temp
- On Solaris and Linux, /tmp
- On AIX, /var/tmp
You can change the location of your temporary directory by setting the TMP environment variable on Windows. On UNIX, you can change the location of your temporary directory by setting the TMPDIR environment variable.
Daemon
The daemon home directory is the directory
- On Windows, install_dir\srv\info
- On UNIX, install_dir/info/
