In 10g, all the prompts in OBIEE are column based prompt. In 11g, you can use the variable prompt
To create a parameter prompt, this solutions are possible :
- You can use a dashboard prompt without column definition by choosing the Edit Box.
- You can create a parameter column
- You can apply a formula on the column prompt
- In 11g, you can use the variable prompt
